I bought this for summer house and have a Breville Touch at home. This machine seems to make more consistent espresso. On the Breville I find that with same beans, grind setting and tamp it takes different amounts of time to brew a shot with simple 2:1 ratio. With Casabrew I am within 2 seconds every time. Tamper is more substantial than the one that came with Breville. I worry that lower priced items can lack quality but so far that is not the case. If it continues to work as it does now it’s a great value.

What I like about this machine is the wide variety of settings and the simplicity. It’s very straightforward and easy to use. It heats up quickly. The part that holds the portafilter while the beans are ground is made of plastic and feels a little flimsy and is a little difficult to get used to. I also found it a bit difficult to lock it in place when going to extract the espresso. It just doesn’t always seem to line up and then it does take a good deal of force to lock it in place. Overall it’s a solid machine I just think for the price the locking mechanism would be better.

My partner who was a barista got a new job and we didn’t want to spend $12 a day on coffee for both of us. So we were super excited to order this after watching a coffee TikToker review this and some Reddit research. Aesthetically, the machine is beautiful and I love that it came with almost all the accessories you would need to get going. When it first arrived we followed recommendations to a t and used a spring loaded tamper for tamping consistency. We weighed our beans, our tamped espresso grinds, and timed and weighed our shot pulls. We also used a WDT tool, and the included espresso distributor. We spent about 45-minutes tweaking to get a good shot for a single and a double. However later in the day when we went to make espresso for guests, all the adjustments we made started pulling bad shots and it took half an hour or more just to get so-so shots. The puck kept coming out super sludgy and not a lot water was actually pulling through. The pressure was completely off and I think the pump system may have stopped working correctly. The next morning we made one last attempt with fresh water, a warm up cycle, and after almost an entire pound of wasted espresso beans in total, we decided it was highly unlikely this was an “us” issue. We may have just got a dud, and it’s possible that had we had ordered a replacement, the next machine may have worked beautifully. But given the price point and how quickly this machine started having issues, I wasn’t willing to take that risk again.Needless to say we’re going to try out a more popular, reliable brand. Super disappointed, but just wanted to warn others of our experience since this product has less than 20 reviews right now.

It’s the perfect fit for my small kitchen and still has everything I wanted in an espresso machine. Easy to clean, easy to use, very nice look too.

I was so excited about this espresso machine. It looked beautiful and I was in coffee heaven. A couple weeks after receiving it, the milk steamer stopped working. I thought maybe it was clogged (although I cleaned it immediately after every use). I tried soaking it and using the little pin gadget that came with the machine to clean it but quickly realized that the issue wasn’t at the tip of the steamer but inside the machine. It is a new piece of equipment therefore, I shouldn’t have to open the machine up to determine why it stopped working. Super disappointing. Had to return as this immediate issue left me feeling very concerned about the life of this machine.

Nice full featured espresso machine. This compares very favorably to the name-brand ‘Barista Pro’ model which I also own.Nice features include the removable grinder module which makes it easy to clean. For some reason a second, spare, grinder module is also included in addition to the module which is already installed in the machine.I first thought this was a packaging mistake, but the video on the manufacturer website confirms the spare grinder is included. The porto-filter is 58mm, larger but shallower than my other machine which uses a 54mm filter. The grinder functions nearly exactly the same, grind is a bit slower at 21 sec for a standard double shot compared to about 14 sec for a double shot grind on my other machine. It took a couple tries to adjust the grind amount and size to get the perfect double-shot expressed at 6-12 bar as the manual suggests, but once complete the espresso was very smooth with perfect crème.One nice feature that my other machine does not have is the digital bar gauge which indicates the espressos pressure. This is shown in the middle of the display description in the manual. This was very helpful to properly set the grind and amount. The grind is a bit messy, I recommend a locking hands free grind funnel which I use for my other machine to keep spare grinds off the counter. I found a 58mm funnel which I’ll try. Finally – the grind and tamp mat was a bit of a mystery with the lip on the edge. It isn’t mentioned in the manual, but a review of the video shows it is placed over the edge of the counter. The filter fits into the notch on the edge while tamping and smoothing. It does include both a metal ‘artist tool’ for designs in your froth, and a heavy smoothing tool to smooth out your grinds before tamping.A couple of additional observations – the frothing pitcher size is slightly smaller than the one I’m used to. A taller and larger diameter pitcher is easier to use without overfilling. These are easy to purchase elsewhere on Amazon. Also – the puck has water on top after extraction. Best results are to let it sit for a minute or so to let the water fully drain out of the puck. The other machine has a system so that the puck is mostly dry after each extraction. I will probably try a different (larger) grind to see if this helps.Overall a very nice machine with pretty much all the features of the name-brand.

The machine is great for people who want to make tasty espresso-based drinks. It takes a bit to get the process down but it’s not too hard. I use this almost every day and the maintenance is pretty easy. The only downside is that it’s limited with its digital controls. Analog controls are better.
