Amazon Customer –
I’m far from being a barista or a espresso guru, but as a beginner, I’ve learned a lot on the art of making good coffee. I love this machine, maybe not everyone gets the same results, but I’m happy with mines.

Good machine for money. Still trying it out and playing around. It heats up quickly. My only knock is it hasnt made a shot with good creme yet…but still playing with grind and tamp and adjusting fir this machine. It has a nice clean sleek look. Looks great on counter. Is Easy to clean.

I was really trying to hold out much longer before writing this review. However I think the time has come.I had been pulling my shots with a $25 espresso machine for 2 years and that died, so I thought time for a decent upgrade. I first purchased the BRIM 19 Bar Espresso machine on Thursday August 5, 2021 and it arrived the next day. After following the priming instructions to the letter, I was ready to pull my first espresso shot. I had bought a bag of decaf, plus a bag of espresso beans which I ground to varying degrees, to do the tests. I went through ALL the baskets that came with it the machine, from the two non-pressurized to two pressurized, pulling coffee. However, I noticed that the PRESSURE GAUGE on the front did not move AT ALL, no matter which basket, nor the type of grounds I put in the them.I was very disappointed. For a $300 machine I really wanted everything to work right away, out of the box. I ordered a replacement the Saturday, August 7, that arrived on Tuesday August 10. That was awesome, that the replacement was so quick. The GAUGE did move on this replacement, but sadly, BARELY, again no matter the basket or the grounds. The needle has NEVER reach halfway through the “Pre-Infusion” stage. Also, when I use the pressurized baskets, there is no nicely formed puck, just a soggy sludge when I empty the portafilter. The non-pressurized ones had a much dryer and better formed puck. I determined that the pressure isn’t enough to drive the water through the grounds in the pressurized baskets. The taste of the pull is also very weak from the pressurized baskets versus the non-pressurized ones. So I have been using just the non-pressurized baskets since. I eventually bought a bottomless portafilter to use deeper basket just to increase the flavor of the pull. The machine is beautiful to look at, I love the wooden handle of the portafilter, and got wooden-handle Tamper and Distributer to match. The steam wand gives me a pretty decent froth, once I got used to it.All in all I am definitely DISAPPOINTED with the performance of the BRIM 19 Bar Espresso machine, but I have decided to stick with the one I have for a while longer as I have figure out how to get the pulls to my liking, especially by reprogramming the 2-shot button for a longer pull and using the deeper basket. If it breaks anytime in the near future, I am definitely switching to a comparable series in the BREVILLE Brand of Espresso machines. I have already been researching the models within my price range.I wanted to give it a 2.5 Star. I hope this long review is helpful.Update: I have made it 3 stars as there is no 2.5

There is no contact for Brim. The number on their website goes a a warranty sort of “clearing house” but there is no Brim Customer Service. I accidentally threw away the milk frother tip when I was soaking it and called Brim to order a replacement. They told me it was out of the 90-day warranty period. I said that’s fine, I wasn’t looking for a feee one. They said this umber is only for warranty repairs up to 90 days from purchase and there is no other way to contact Brim. The lady said I could go on eBay to try and find one. No luck. She said I could ask take it to a repair shop. It’s not broken. I just need a part. I’ve looked everywhere and have just had to order a separate frothing machine. Infuriating that I am not able to contact the actual company and cannot get a replacement part. Go with a better brand that has an actual contact number for the company and provides better service. No more Brim.

UPDATE 3 – After requesting a replacement and going through the hassle of receiving, re-packaging and returning products , I finally gave up and bought the Breville Barista Express. By far the best decision I have made. I should have done this two, almost three months ago. I tried to give Brim a try but that pressure gauge just wouldn’t work. And the difference in espresso quality is night and day. Go with the Breville Barista Express – you will not regret it !UPDATE 2 – I have switched my grounds and measured the coffee. Still not getting the results I was hoping for and the gauge just doesn’t move. So I will consider switching out this product for a new one.Original Review: Okay – so i went against the reviews and bought the machine. The look and build is amazing! It is a very sturdy machine and the portafilter and tamper is heavy which to me tells me Brim was serious when designing this product. Functionality? Eh, not so much. Still trying to figure out the machine because I want to make sure I am using it right so I have no mechanical problems in the future. The machine is very loud, vibrates when pulling shots and hot water drips into the tray (I guess that is normal) I also had problems with the pressure gauge right out of the box. It only seems to be moving a few centimeters up and it does not pass the “pre-infusion”. Which leaves me wondering if I have to switch my grounds or measure my coffee before pulling shots so it can at least get the “non-pressurized” mark. Idk yet , will give it another week or two and will decide to keep it or not. For $241 this machine is generously priced. The only thing holding me back is the functionality. I had a Mr.Coffee espresso machine – super basic. Cost me $45 at target. And it worked really really well. The only reason why I got a Brim was to make my coffee station look a little more Barista-like. I was also considering a Breville Espresso Barista pro machine but what held me back was the price. If I don’t find solution to this product, I am returning it and buying the Breville.

Excelente producto, fácil de usarMuy fácil de usar, solo una función a la vez, he preparado 9 capuchinos de manera continua, solo que no se porque a veces el manómetro no funciona pero es irrelevante para preparar un excelente café.
