Used one in a hotel room and bought this a week later. I had an old Mr. Coffee espresso machine which was “OK” but not great. This one makes real espresso, and the “capsules” aren’t horribly expensive when you consider what you pay for espresso retail. Otherwise, it’s pretty durn expensive, but you can’t take it with you…

Got this for seasonal beach house . Sometimes the pod gets crushed and doesn’t work so you lose a pod and it’s very loud. Since it doesn’t get heavy use, it works for me. I don’t know how it would hold up with daily heavy use.

This little machine was delivered today. I unboxed it and ran a cup of water through it per instruction manual. I had to use a traditional coffee cup because that was the only cup/mug that would fit in the designated area. Next I tried the machine out. I removed the top portion of drip tray & was able to balance a small mug there. It produced a tiny amount from the Nespresso pod I used. I was surprised at how little the amount was. I guess you could chalk it up to a first time espresso drink for me. The flavor was very nice.I opened the top up so the used pod could fall down into the pod holder. Then a lightbulb went off in my head.I SOLVED the cup size issue! If you remove the pod receptacle and just place the top part of the drip tray right under the dispenser, you can use larger cups/mugs. Of course there is nothing to catch the drips once you remove your cup, but it’s no big deal to wipe up the drips with a sponge or paper towel.I hope this helps anyone who has also been frustrated that the drip tray doesn’t allow a normal cup.

An option from the overpriced Nespresso machines and functional on all levels. BUT. This is one noisy machine and together with the coffee… it will surely awaken the user, neighbors and the dead. No way to sneak a cup and not awaken anyone. And we have 6 Nespresso machines… but this is the master of sound blasting in the group.

Unfortunately not a good experienceRight of the box when I started using it, it would not pump the water and shut off right after and sometimes it would pump but it would leak water to the tray where the pods fall after use. So I end up returning it and bought a Nespresso instead.
