I recently got a Nespresso Vertuo machine and wanted to also be able to explore pods from the original line they offer. I didn’t really want to spent another $200 on a machine right now, so I decided to check out other brand options. I found this little machine by Beanglass for less than half what I’d pay for a Nespresso Essenza mini after the online coupon was applied.It’s a beautiful machine that matches my other machine and coffee bar perfectly. It heats up quickly and the option to brew espresso or lungo is very nice. I do get a hot and rich flavorful brew but not always a super thick crema. This could be due to the pods I use since some are flavored pods. The water tank at first seems small but honestly since I only brew a lungo or double shot at a time I don’t find it toosmall at all. It’s honestly not that loud either, no louder really than my Nespresso Vertuo Plus.Now the two reasons I took away one star. One the biggest peeve I have is that occasionally I find that the pod does not load right and instead you end up crushing the pod without puncturing it thus wasting the pod. These pods aren’t exactly cheap, at least if you purchase Nespresso brand. Second peeve I have is the design of the drip tray. You can easily fit an espresso mug but lungo sometimes has issues fitting. This would have been a simple fix if the drip tray was easily removable. Since by design the two pieces fit together you can’t remove the tray without having to also pull out the pod bin. You can slide the pod bin back in without the drip try but it doesn’t fit quite right without the tray. I have one set of lungo size mugs that fit perfectly. It’s a minor peeve but a slight annoyance nonetheless.Overall I enjoy the machine a lot, it serves its purpose and think it’s value is worth the price. Even with the peeves I have with it, I’d still repurchase over more pricier options. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you purchase.

my nespresso machine finally bit the dust after 10 years. i wanted to buy a replacement but man have they gone up in price ! so i thought i’d try an off brand. this does a good job. it’s a little loud. also it leaks a bit of water – inconsistently. sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t – i put the tank on the same way, it’s in the same spot – i can’t figure out why. but for the $ savings, i’m fine with it. brews coffee well. crema happens. easy enough to set brew time that you want instead of factory settings.

Very compact Nespresso machine, and easy to use and clean; coffee was brewing very fast, much better than some k-cup machine. The noise is acceptable, not annoying; then only drawback is the size of water tank, and there are two open holes, therefore you can’t filled the whole tank. However, this is for espresso, small water tank is not small for espresso. Love it!

You get what you pay for. I needed to replace my Nespresso and could not find it on sale, so I went w this one. It is okay. But w/in a few days of use a screw fell out of the pod housing, then a day later another screw, a spring, & a piece of plastic. Works find w/o it. In fact it is a little easier. But the design should not fall apart within days of use, especially when it only makes 3 shots/day.

This is not the first Nespresso capsule machine we had – but by far the worst!Water tank small and difficulty to attach correctly to the machine; small amounts of coffee dispensed (even small for espresso and lungo sized cups)After 3 months (and needless to say after support window closed), machine does not build up enough pressure anymore leading to continuously dispensing small amounts of water/ coffee

THIS MACHINE LEAKED BOILING WATER FROM ITS SIDES AND ALL OVER ME AND ALL OVER MY WIRING, CAUSING A SPARK & FIRE DANGER. Espresso machines cost a couple hundred for a reason, do yourself a favor and don’t spend such low amounts on a machine like I did – or expect low outcomes if you do – maybe I’m unlucky but I had such a horrible experience, this could have given me burns and turned into a lawsuit.
