I’m a Mr Coffee drip, Ms Tea, Mr Coffee espresso machine person. Have been for about 20 years. I also have a Kuereg. I was waiting for some company to put together all three so I could get rid of three machines on my countertop.. Very glad it was Mr Coffee. I have been using this for about a month. So far the drip and pod brewing capabilities have been impressive. The Mr Coffee espresso maker I have had for many years allows me to make a 4 shot espresso. This one can only make 2 shots. So a little disapointing. The espresso portofilter is a little difficiult to clean and I’m not sure it is making an actual shot as at times it makes a couple of spoonfuls. Hoping that will improve as the machine breaks in. Having smart technology where it can recognize the filer is nice, but I had to “reboot” the machine when it ran out of water and I added more in. Having a storage tray included really helps to organize everything and keeps things neat. Overall I’m happy with the machine and would recomend it to others. One drawback is that the water tank is in the back so really have hard time checking the water amount because of that. Perhaps the next gen version can have a sensor there that tells you to add water. The machine is tall compared to my others. Two specific items. When switching from brew to steam a little stream of water comes spewing out before the actual steam. Have to use a towel or cup to catch it. Very difficult to remove the espresso grounds filter cup after brewing.

Very disappointing that a coffee maker that costs as much as this one did, has stopped working after 2.5 years. The Mr. Coffee products that I have purchased in the past have always been high quality items. This machine leaks water out of the bottom of the unit making a huge mess on the counter. May have to look at other brands for a replacement dad to say.

I gave this a 5 star because it’s a great product and does everything I want. People complain about the zero coming up and leaking. I don’t think it leaks because there is a drip tray and it will fill up quickly and people don’t dump the water out then it starts to overflow. Getting it set up can be a pain because you have to get the water started and once you do it’s great. To keep it from doing a zero, all you have to do it shut it off and turn it back on and run it according to the directions. I’ve had it zero out several times and have fiddled with it and now have figured out how not to do that. Keep the water filled, don’t let it run dry. Just read the directions and you’ll do fine, but it has a learning curved.

Update as of 10/12/2022: Downgrade from 5 stars. The seal for the k-cup/espresso attachments has a slight tear, resulting in water leaking around the edge and not going into the coffee grounds. This is after roughly a year and a half of 4 to 5 k-cups per day, 5 days a week. Replacement parts are not available anywhere and it appears the manufacturer has stated elsewhere in the Q&A that they are not available for individual sale. Very, very disappointing, given wear item parts that are very cheap (a silicone gasket) whose failure makes a $250.00+ coffee maker worthless. Will not be buying Mr. Coffee products again, cannot recommend.Original: I have been through a number of coffee makers over the years, including two different K-Cup compatible ones. This coffee maker beats them all in terms of ease of use, and that it can do K cups, espresso, AND a whole pot of coffee the regular drip way. My wife and I use this everyday with about half as K-Cups and half for espresso. Zero problems, good size water reservoir that is easy to refill, and excellent quality. Considering it’s price compared to similarly versatile but higher end machines, this one is an excellent value. A close friend sprang for the Eummit Fully Auto machine, which costs almost 6 times as much, does less, and the brew tastes the same! Also, over the course of several days, the auto ones actually end up requiring more work… One downside: I broke the lid used for making the whole pot of drip coffee, and cannot find replacement parts. Replacement part availability is definitely disappointing, since this price point is out of reach for the ‘I’ll just buy another one’ solution

Good Product!I needed a replacement for my lower end 15 bar DeLongi that served me well. I’ve returned 2 other models. After reading so many negative reviews, I was skeptical about buying this and wouldn’t have based on the reviews. I saw a unit in the “Scratch and Dent” area for only $90 and thought I’d give it a try. Worst case scenerio is that I’d have to send it back. Upon delivery, The delivered by “Amazon” driver left it in the lobby of my high rise. After clearly stating that “Signature required” and “Don’t leave anything in the lobby” instructions were ignored once again. I brought it up and opened the package. Realizing that there were a few items missing. A couple of filters but the main item missing was the stainless steel metal caraffe. I called Amazon and they gave me a credit for 50$ for the missing items. Bottomline is: “I ONLY PAID $40 FOR THIS UNIT” Unfortunately, Mr. Coffee could not sent me a replacement caraffe. But this is not the reason I gave it a 4 star review. The 4 star review is about the unit itself. As mentioned earlier, I’ve been through 2 machines previous to this one. My Delongi was a 15 bar espresso machine and it made decent coffee and it was quite loud. Remember that these are espresso machines, not drip makers, with strong pumps. They are suppose to be loud! The Mr. Coffee is “A Lot” quiter than the DeLongi. Although, the drip portion of this machine uses the same pump. So, if noise is a factor, then move on. But you won’t know what you are missing. The previous unit that I returned was really classy looking and stated it was 20 bar. The gauge went “upto” 20 bar but the needle never pointed higher than 8. It looked like it was really nicely painted but was very light weight and almost 100% plastic. The whole unit would move when placing/removing the arm. It felt cheap and I sent it back immediately. The Mr. Coffee is large and fairly sturdy. It’s a coffee machine, not a children’s toy! So, don’t waste your time returning units. Just spent the few extra dollars and get a better product. The pros: 1. The espresso that comes out of it is Amazing! It has a beautiful head and plenty of froth. 2. The coffee is great tasting. I noticed the difference right away using the same coffee with 3 other methods. Drip, Stovetop Moka and French press. 3. Looks classyThe cons: 1. I didn’t like the fact that there isn’t any kind of float in the water tank. It’s hard to see the water level. The water needs to be filled everytime you use it for pots of coffee. 2. There is neither a burner on the bottom nor cup warmer on the top. (I never used the warmer anyway) I suppose that with the metal thermos, a burner wouldn’t be needed.TIPS: 1. In case anybody is wondering, the espresso tamp size is 51mm. 2. To avoid the “0” error. Make sure resevoir is full. Lift and reseat it a few times until there are no bubbles. Sometimes, you may have to turn on the steam want to pressurize/prime it if you run it completely dry.Cheers

Picture is misleadingOverall this machine is pretty darn good. Makes good coffee and espresso. Latte frothed definitely takes some skill to make a good froth, might be a bit underpowered, however it is the feature of least concern to me.A lot of people complain about the sound or the difficulty of the machine; it’s a basic espresso machine so yes it will be the most difficult to master vs an automatic machine, and all espresso machines are noisy. It can be messy, especially with milk frother, however I feel the design of the machine is pretty smart and is quite easy to clean with just a wet rag.The very last picture of the product in the site shows all of the parts that the Mr. Coffee occasions is supposed to come with, however when mine showed up it did not have two items in the picture: the reusable coffee basket, as well as the re-useable K-cup pod for using your own grounds or coffee. Keep that in mind. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Replacement received……and exact same problem. This has to be chronic issue with the product!I wrote a review before indicting that the unit I purchased did not work upon opening the box. Ive tried all the ‘tips’ Ive seen online about getting this flashing “0” error resolved and nothing has worked. Amazon were good and sent a replacement about a week after the original problem machine arrived but it too has the exact same problem! The more I read up on this the more I realize this is a chronic issue with this coffee maker, and regardless of the potential I cannot try get another replacement again and now have to start looking at alternatives. Also called Mr Coffee themselves and found them to be less than helpful and could not even find the product code to find the device I am talking about! I hate giving reviews like this but I would strongly advise people to beware of this product as I am now 2 for 2 and have to return two machines back to Amazon.

I call it HARLEY!When I turn it on in the morning, I warn my sleeping wife to prepare for a journey into the wonderful world of the smell of coffee. The machine meets our expectations in every way, except that it starts up a little loud. We are satisfied with our home starbucks.
